3 cups mixed berries
juice of 1/2 lemon
1/3 cup plus 1/2 cup, sugar
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup ground hazelnuts
zest of 1 lemon
1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 325°F.
In a 9-inch cake pan melt the butter in preheated oven.
Meanwhile, in a medium size bowl, gently mix berries, lemon juice, and 1/3 cup sugar, and set aside.
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt, baking powder, hazelnuts, 1/2 cup sugar, and lemon zest. Then stir in the milk.
Remove the pan from the oven once the butter is melted, pour batter into the pan and then top with the berries. Return pan to oven and bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
Enjoy hot or room temperature.
