Fresh, without the fuss.
1 Jalapeno, finely diced
1 Small garlic clove, minced
Kosher salt, to taste
2 tbsp Fresh lime juice + more to taste
3 Ripe avocados
1/4 cup Chopped cilantro
Pile about half the onion, half the jalapenos, the garlic, and a big pinch of salt on a cutting board. Coarsely mash the ingredients together using the flat side of the knife. Scrape up with the knife and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add the lime juice and mix with the paste.
Next, add the avocados to the bowl. Coarsely mash the avocados with a potato masher until you have a mixture of small and medium-sized chunks. Do not overmash.
Stir in the remaining onion and jalapeno, and cilantro. Taste and add more lime juice and/or salt if needed.
