Bacon Weave Square for BLTs & Breakfast Sandwiches

Turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

a bacon weave on a plate
12 pieces Bacon, cut in half crosswise

Place three strips of bacon vertically next to each other. Fold every other strip backwards in half and lay one piece of bacon in the center crosswise horizontally over the vertical bacon strips.

Now switch the bacon strips that are folded to lay straight and fold the other bacon strips backwards. Add another piece of bacon crosswise horizontally over the vertical bacon strips. Continue this process until a weaved square lattice forms, this will use six pieces of bacon. Continue with remaining pieces of bacon to make 4 lattices in total.

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F and set the timer for 10 minutes.

Place the weave into the air fryer and fry, flipping the weave halfway through if necessary, until golden brown and crispy. Remove to a paper towel-plate to cool.

Use this bacon weave square in a BLT recipe! Take two pieces toasted bread, brush both pieces with mayo and top with lettuce, sliced tomato and the bacon weave square. Sandwich together and you’re good to go!
